Description
CD45 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein, common leukocyte antigen. As a result of alternative splicing between exons 4, 5, and 6, which encode A, B, and C determinants respectively, CD45 is expressed as four isoforms: CD45RA (Mr = 220 kDa), CD45RB (Mr = 210 kDa), CD45RC (Mr = 200 kDa), and CD45RO (Mr = 180 kDa). The highest level of CD45 expression is observed on lymphocytes. Resting T cells and NK cells express CD45RA and CD45RB. Activated T cells, memory T cells, monocytes, granulocytes, and dendritic cells express CD45RO and CD45RC; however B cells only express CD45RA. CD45 monoclonal antibodies are widely used for differential diagnosis of lymphoid malignancies.WARNING This product is not for human or veterinary use.
