Description

Ethacrynic acid-d5 is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of ethacrynic acid (Item No. 19536) by GC- or LC-MS. Ethacrynic acid is a nonsulfonamide loop diuretic that inhibits the activity of the Na+/K+/2Cl- cotransporter NKCC2 in the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle.1 It also inhibits glutathione S-transferase and Wnt signaling, producing cytotoxicity in chronic lymphocytic leukemia cells and other tumor cells.2,3WARNING This product is not for human or veterinary use.
